Connect

Schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation to see if you feel comfortable working with me and if my approach aligns with you.

We'll chat about what brings you into therapy and what you're seeking help with. This an opportunity for you to ask any questions, and for me to share my approach and discuss fees/scheduling options.

It it feels good, we'll schedule your first telehealth appointment!

I use a secure HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform that is easy to use, and no downloads or logins are required - just use the unique session link I'll email you.

You'll receive a separate link to your client portal for you to complete intake paperwork prior to your first appointment.

What to Expect During First Sessions

2

During your first session, I'll invite you to share what brings you into therapy, current needs, and what you'd like to achieve together. I will gather past and present information to get a general blueprint of your life.

The therapist-client relationship is one of the most important factors in treatment.

At the end of our first appointment, we'll see if it feels like a good fit, whether I will be able to help, and if we wish to continue.

We will also create a plan together for what you'd like to work on and how I could support you.

Every session will be approximately 50 - 55 minutes, and I recommend in the beginning months we meet once a week to keep up the momentum we see in session. Payment is collected at the end of your session with the credit/debit card on file.

The Therapeutic Process

If you feel nervous about starting therapy, this is normal, understandable, and expected. You might not know where to start, worry you'll get overwhelmed, or are hesitant or numb to open up.

I will support and guide you if you don't know where to start, track your body's level of activation, and work together at a rate that feels comfortable to you.

My hope for you is to feel more fulfilled, empowered, confident, and at peace. The healing journey is unique to each survivor - and I aim to help you achieve your vision.

We will address the big things that bring you in as well as your inner strengths. In sessions, I will guide you to bring in a topic or material to explore,

while I keep in mind and weave in elements of your therapy goals.

My approach loosely follows the three-phase model of trauma recovery: 1) Stabilization & Safety, 2) Processing & Remembrance, 3) Integration & Transformation

Working somatically and cognitively, I can help you address and work through trauma so that it no longer feels like it defines you.
